Goal/purpose: To reuse/repurpose 7 wooden pallets to create beautiful, colorful and informative additions to our garden

Participants: Art Club, Garden class- Grades 3-5

Budget for the project: $0    We have free pallets and left over paint from previous projects

Cornerstone: Nature Adventure

Name of project: After School Garden Club

Goal/purpose: To give students additional opportunities to work in our garden and extend their learning with 

                         master gardener volunteers

Participants: K-5th grade students, 3 master gardeners, a teacher and parent volunteers

Start date: Oct. 9th

Cornerstone: Health & Fitness

Name of project: Whole Foods Nutrition Classes

Goal/purpose: To provide additional nutritional information so our students can make educated choices about what they

                        eat, Lacey Baxter, a Healthy Eating Specialist, from our neighborhood Whole Foods Market will visit our

                        school once a month to do cooking demonstrations with vegetables from our garden.

Participants:   K-5th grade students

Cornerstone: Natural Classroom

Name of project: PreK Vegetable beds 

Goal/purpose:    To provide a vegetable bed for each PreK class

Participants:       12 volunteers from Celanese
