Walking School Bus

     Wilkinson Elementary School students and faculty are working to reduce our carbon footprint and getting healthy in the process!  The Walking School Bus is offered to students at Wilkinson Elementary School who live within 1 mile of campus.  One teacher or administrator walks a group of children to a designated "bus stop" where parents are waiting.  The children wear bright yellow vests and pull a wagon that holds their backpacks.  Parents who might otherwise drive to school for student pick up are opting to take this healthy alternative.
