Shopping for Smart Snacks

When you visit the grocery store, there are some places that are a lot smarter than others.

 

One secret is to stay around the edges of the store, because that's where most of the healthy stuff is. This means things like fresh fruit and vegetables, milk and dairy, fresh meat and fish and fresh-baked bread.

 

There's another place that's got tons of healthy stuff, too. Can you guess where? Okay, I'll tell you. It's called the "bulk section." This is where you can buy all kinds of healthy foods in whatever amounts you want.

 

I love shopping there for snacks, like dried fruit, nuts, granola and veggie chips.

 

For the best snack ever, just pick your favorites and mix them all up!
