Hula Hooping in the Preserve

By:

For this project, students were to work with a partner and establish a spot in our Outdoor Learning Lab (Preserve) that they will revisit over the course of the year and note any changes in the space.  Ultimately, students will explain the reasons for the changes in the space based on the TEKS covered this school year.

Each team of two placed a Hula Hoop in a spot they selected in the prairie area of the Preserve, drew a map to their hoop, and drew a picture of all things located inside their Hula Hoop.  They answered several questions from the attached worksheet and then made a full observation and prediction (based on existing knowledge).
